Brief History – About Malaysia
We started work in Malaysia as Youth Guidance Sdn. Bhd. That was in 1996 with only 1 staff operating from a house in Taman Sentosa, Johor Bahru. The name was later changed to RBC Resources Sdn. Bhd when it started to focus solely on the work of RBC Ministries. We are now known as Our Daily Bread Berhad.
The youth outreach work was fully subsumed under Malaysia Youth for Christ (MYFC) whom from day one had been responsible for this work in Youth Guidance Sdn. Bhd.
The readership grew steadily. In 1998, we moved from that house to a rented shophouse at Jalan Serampang, Taman Pelangi. Thereafter in 2000 we moved to our own shophouse at 14 Jalan Perang, Taman Pelangi.
From that office, the staff team serves the readers and churches in Malaysia as well as provides regional support to several countries in the Asia Pacific region. We oversee printing projects and offer operational supports. We also produce resources in English, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia, and Japanese with the support from readers and local churches.
Today, we have 26 staff (both full time and part time) and a dedicated team of volunteers. We also have 2 other service centres in Petaling Jaya and Kota Kinabalu to cater for the needs of our readers and local churches in those areas.
In 1997, Discovery House Distributors Sdn. Bhd (DHD) was established. Through DHD, we aspire to provide materials that will encourage and equip people to know God and turn to His Word for comfort, fresh insights, and faith. As these resources are costly to produce, we seek to make these quality resources available at a reasonble price without compromising on our mission. We also translate books into Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia to meet the growing needs in the Chinese and Bahasa speaking churches.

With the ministry growth, we moved into this new facility in August 24, 2011.The 13,000 square feet of built up area allows for the following:
- Sufficient work space for our staff
- Sufficient work space for volunteers who help us in the packing and mailing of resources
- Additional warehousing space for both RBC Ministries and DHD

Our desire is that through our devotionals, Bible teaching and evangelistic resources, we will impact our country and beyond with the life-changing wisdom of the Bible. Our prayer is that in whatever we do, we will do it all to God’s glory and for His kingdom.
